Who we are

Adoptly is a mobile app for posting and browsing pet-adoption listings in India. This policy describes the personal data we process to run the app. Questions can be sent to the email below.

Data we collect

Account: your phone number (to sign in and so other users can contact you about a listing) and the name you choose. Optional profile photo. Listings: photos, videos, breed, age, city, optional area, and description. Activity: comments, likes, saved listings, reports, and blocks. Device: a push-notification token and the interface language you pick. We do not sell this data.

How we use it

We use this data to create your account, show listings, let you contact and be contacted about an adoption, send in-app and OS notifications you have enabled, moderate content, and keep the service secure. City and area are the location of the listing, not live GPS.

Who processes it

We store accounts, listings, and media with Supabase. Sign-in codes are sent by SMS through Twilio via Supabase Auth. Push notifications are delivered through Expo. These providers process data only to provide those services.

Retention and deletion

Your profile, listings, and media stay until you delete your account from Settings, or until we remove content or an account for a terms violation. Deleting the account removes your profile and posts from Adoptly. You can also delete an individual listing from your profile.

Your choices

You can edit your name and photo, change your phone number, turn off OS notifications in system Settings, block or report other users, and delete your account. You must be at least 18 to create a listing or contact another user.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The date above is the latest revision. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
